The G102 only comes at 6000 dpi back in october 2016. Logitech has released a firmware update the following year to upgrade its sensor from 6000 to 8000 dpi thus most of the G102 circulating now in the market comes at 8000 dpi if by any chance you still have it running at 6000 and want to upgrade the firmware you can download the Logitech G Hub and update the firmware from the link in table above.

Build quality of the mouse is good for the most part, no flimsy buttons or anything loose when we try to shake it it’s entirely made of plastic except for the mouse wheel which feels like rubber. It weighs at 85 grams 4.6 inches long 2.4 inches wide and 1.5 inches tall, it sports logitech’s very own mercury sensor has a dpi range of 200 to 8 000, 125 to 1000 hertz polling rate, 25g acceleration, 6 programmable buttons, 2 meter non-braided cable and a usb connector which is not gold plated.

The G102 isn’t ambidextrous due to its side buttons being only on the left side, which favors right-handed users, but this gaming mouse is not recommended to people with bigger hands, any mouse grip would work well for the G102 thanks to its non-slippery matte finish.
